I DIDN'T WRITE THIS FROM A BEACH.
I was top 1% in the timeshare industry — a top producer who closed over $1.5 million in a single year. Then COVID hit in December 2020, and right after that I got sick the way people don't come back from.
Forty pounds in a month. Water and Sprite were the only things that stayed down. Four trips to the ER before anyone figured out what was actually happening to me.
My younger sister Christy died of a blood clot to her heart. I went to her funeral unknowingly dying of the same thing. Three weeks after burying her, they finally found mine — two lungs full of blood clots, clots in my jugular veins, in both arms, in my legs.
I should have died. I didn't.
The scans that saved me also found a dead spot in my spinal cord. The doctors told me if I didn't have surgery, I'd be paralyzed from the neck down inside a year. C2-T2 fusion in July 2021. A year later, July 2022, they diagnosed me with autonomic dysreflexia. My younger brother Benny died during that stretch too.
My income went to zero. When you don't show up, the money doesn't come in. My wife Corrine kept teaching full-time while running the house, managing my medications, and helping build what's now RCM Digital Media and The Rebuild Movement.
I'm still rehabbing. Some days I get two hours of working capacity. Some days none. Some days four or five — but those days are rare.
This is what I built in that window anyway: four patents filed, an AI company standing, and a community for the ones who don't have the luxury of waiting to feel ready. Rock bottom is a foundation, not a grave.
