The Rebuild Movement

I Built an Empire
From a Hospital Bed.

They told me I might not walk again. I had blood clots in both lungs, a fused spine, and two siblings I'd never see again. This is the story of how I chose to build instead of break.

01

Before It All
Fell Apart.

I was the #1 timeshare closer in Branson, Missouri. Not top five. Not "one of the best." The best. I carried a 65% close rate on both new customers and in-house owners — numbers most people in the industry said were impossible.

I worked my way from the absolute bottom to the top of that house. Every sale was earned. Every close was proof that if you showed up, outworked everyone, and believed in what you were selling — you could build a life.

But I made one mistake. The same mistake millions of people make every single day: I traded all of my time for all of my money. When I could show up, the money poured in. But I had no systems. No safety net. No way to earn if I couldn't physically be in that room.

I didn't know it yet, but that mistake was about to cost me everything.

Tomorrow isn't guaranteed. My brother didn't get it. My sister didn't get it. I almost didn't get it.
02

When Everything
Went Dark.

My younger brother was killed. I'll never fully recover from that, and I'm not supposed to. Some grief you don't get over — you just learn to carry it forward.

Then COVID hit. March 2020. The entire timeshare industry shut down overnight. My career — the one I'd spent years climbing to the top of — vanished. Income: gone. Just like that.

Then I got sick. Not just sick — deathly sick. And then my younger sister died from a blood clot. I stood at her funeral carrying the exact same condition that killed her — blood clots filling both of my lungs.

I should have died right there at her funeral. But I didn't.

What the doctors found:

  • Blood clots in both lungs — pulmonary embolism
  • Blood clot in my leg — deep vein thrombosis
  • Blood clot in my neck
  • Blood clot in my arm
  • Life-threatening spinal stenosis C2–C6
  • Spinal compressions at T10–T11
  • Autonomic dysreflexia
  • I should have died multiple times, in multiple ways.

The Decision That
Changed Everything.

Lying in that hospital bed, staring at the ceiling, tubes running in and out of me — I had the clearest thought of my life.

My brother's time ran out. My sister's time ran out. Mine almost ran out. And the business I'd built? It died the moment I couldn't physically show up to a room. Time is the only currency that matters. And I had been spending all of mine making someone else rich.

I had two choices.

Not philosophical ones. Real, immediate, life-or-death choices. The kind you make at 3am in a hospital room when the machines are beeping and the grief is crushing and your body is broken.

Die.
or
BUILD.

I chose to build. From that bed. With maybe two good hours of energy a day — some days zero. Through pain. Through grief. Through blood clots and spinal fusions and the kind of physical limitations that make most people quit before they start.

I didn't build from perfect conditions. I built from impossible ones.

The People Who
Wouldn't Let Me Die.

There's a part of this story I haven't told you yet — the most important part. Because I didn't pull myself out of that darkness alone. I had people who refused to let me stay there.

Rick and Corrine Muenchau

At my absolute lowest — when the pain was unbearable, the grief was crushing, and I was ready to let the darkness win — my wife Corrine walked into that room, looked me dead in the eyes, and said:

“Get off your ass. Stop being a pussy. Your family needs you.”

No sugarcoating. No pity. No gentle hand-holding. Just the raw, unfiltered truth from the woman who knows me better than anyone on this planet. That was the moment everything shifted. Not a motivational speech. Not a self-help book. My wife — telling me the truth I needed to hear when I didn't want to hear it.

That's Corrine. She's not just my wife — she's the CEO of RCM Digital Media, the backbone of everything I've built, and the reason I'm still here. She didn't just stand by me. She pulled me forward when I couldn't move on my own.

Then my boys came home. Dalton and Kraeton didn't just visit — they showed up to build. They saw their dad broken, rebuilding from nothing, and they didn't flinch. They rolled up their sleeves and said, “We're in.”

Most people hear my story and think I'm some lone wolf grinding it out in the dark. That's not the truth. The truth is a family that circled up when it mattered most. A wife who wouldn't let me quit. Sons who wouldn't let me fight alone. Everything I build — every system, every company, every piece of this empire — I build for them.

Rick and Corrine date night

We still make time. Through the pain, the 2-hour energy windows, the endless building — we still do date nights. Because what's the point of building an empire if you lose the people you're building it for?

I build because my brother and sister can't. I fight because my family wouldn't let me stop.

The Realization

I would never again build a business that required me to physically show up to earn. No entrepreneur should ever have to choose between their health and their income. If my systems couldn't work without me, they weren't systems — they were prisons.

RCM Digital Media

I founded RCM Digital Media from my recliner with two monitors and a mission. We build AI-powered automation systems — affiliate growth engines, automated funnels, and creative that converts. Not theory. Real infrastructure that runs while you sleep, heal, or live your life.

Titan Phoenix

I built a fully closed-loop marketing system powered by AI — one that learns, adapts, and grows your business with you. Not for Fortune 500 companies who already have armies of people. For the entrepreneurs in the middle — too big for mom-and-pop solutions, too small for the big agencies to care about. The forgotten ones. My people.

The Movement

The Rebuild Movement isn't a brand. It's a promise. Every post, every system, every entrepreneur I help — it's because I got a second chance that my brother and sister didn't. I'm not wasting a single minute of it.

Turn Pain Into Purpose.
Turn Purpose Into Power.

I help real people rebuild their bodies, minds, and businesses through faith, resilience, and technology. I share what I live — not theory — so others can automate their income, reclaim their confidence, and build something that lasts.

Because if I can build an empire from a hospital bed, grieving two siblings, with two hours of energy a day and a spine held together by titanium — what's your excuse?
